Benjamin A Wilcox, MBA, LSS-BB, CHPSE

A native Floridian and son of two school teachers, Ben has been raised to value and seek opportunities that continuously promote personal growth and professional development. 
 
A graduate of Florida State University with two Bachelor of Science degrees, Ben has harnessed a highly analytical nature with a research-based background for problem-solving and investigation of situations. Utilizing scientific inquiring of hypothesizing, testing, analyzing, evaluating, and replicating results has helped to repeatedly achieve successful business outcomes throughout his career in private, public, non-profit, and government settings. Ben earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree while working full-time and raising two daughters to enhance his leadership skills and knowledge in organizational development, strategic planning, technology utilization, and project management. 
 
With an undeniable passion for customer service, quality improvement, technology integration, and analytical thinking, Ben was captivated by Lean Six Sigma concepts. After several years employed in government, retail, consulting, and healthcare sectors, assigned as the lead role on various projects, and mentored by a Master Black Belt, Ben completed his training and earned his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification in October 2022. 
 
Ben is a seasoned leader with vast experience working with complex business systems under strict regulations and limited resources. Ben is impact-driven, highly motivated, and a fast learner with an entrepreneurial spirit that also has the compassion to serve and connect with people to help create and conceptualize ways to initiate and implement needed change that improves systems and processes.  
 
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, mastery of team building, solution-focused, and problem-solving, strategic planning that promotes quality outcomes, lasting results, and maximization of organizational opportunities and resources;
  • Expertise in policy development, risk mitigation, quality assurance, and compliance;
  • Architect for improving business performance, aligning the allocation of resources, developing systems, and integrating technology to strengthen organizations and empower its workforce;
  • Specialist in the accreditation process, planning, preparation, and review of the Council on Accreditation (COA) and recognized for innovative and best-practice implementation and design of the Performance and Quality Improvement Standard;
  • Certified HIPAA Privacy Security Expert (CHPSE) and subject matter expert on privacy, security, and risk involving the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the Florida Information and Protection Act (FIPA), and compliance and implementation of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) public records laws and procedures. 
 
Ben’s favorite pastime is spending time with his daughters and traveling with them during their various athletic activities. He enjoys the natural beauty of Florida and can often be found at the beach, in the water, and admiring a sunrise or sunset which has ignited an interest in landscape photography.
